The Mess
Plastic pollution has become one of mankind’s worst habits, we all take for granted the amount of unnecessary plastic accompanying products and services consumed on a daily basis throughout our lives.
Little action is taken on how this material can be re-used and it’s production reduced.
Precious Plastic is an open source project aimed at the reduction of plastic waste. Creating new products from re-used debris, promoting zero-waste lifestyles, use of biodegradable materials or simply boosting recycling, are the fundamental elements that Precious Plastic seeks to pass-on.
Thanks to Dave Hakkens, the founder of Precious Plastic and his team, we had a head-start in the methodologies and tools required for moulding plastic waste, giving it a new life!
Our Approach
Here at Precious Plastic Naxos, we have developed a series of machinery for moulding re-used plastic. Our mother-brand AluMoulds has allowed us to create our own product designs using CNC technology.
